Žitnica Mountain Lodge

Žitnica Mountain Lodge on the Japetić peak (815 m) was built between 1951 and 1955 by the Jastrebarsko Hiking Society on the top of a meadow called Žitnica. There is a dirt road from Sveta Jana leading up to the lodge. A control stamp for Karlovac Hiking Trails and the Circular Hiking Trail of Samobor Mountains is available in the lodge. Visitors can also purchase hiking literature – journals and hiking maps of Samobor Mountains and Žumberak.
